Christina Rosetti's Goblin Market- A childrens poem?

we know that Goblin Market was made as a childrens poem. there has been a lot of speculaiton on wether the poem was appropriate for children. from reading the poem I found that some of the contect of the peom bordered on being interpreted in a sexual way.
the peom is about Goblin men who own fruit stalls and try to get women.. preferably 'innocent' women to purchase their fruit. There is a reluctancy from the women to purchase their fruit. This is because the goblins were bad.
Rossetti could have chosen to publish the poem as a childrens peom because they would only see the black and white picture of the women not going near the goblin men because they are bad people. As older teens and adults we are more likely to look into the poem and analyse it.
The other reason why it could be classed as a childrens poem is beacause Goblins are a fictional character, children would be able to relate to the poem and be interested in reading it.
